Practice/Hospital Login Dan Bensimhon, MD
Dr. Dan Bensimhon graduated from Duke University in 1989 with a BA in English Literature. He spent the next five years as a national magazine editor for Men's Health and Men's Journal magazines and a competitive triathlete/ultramarathoner completing the Hawaiian Ironman at age 24 in 1991. During that time, he also authored How to Win at Everything (Bantam 1996). He graduated cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 1998 were he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Duke University Medical Center before joining the faculty in 2004.In 2005, he joined LeBauer HeartCare in Greensboro, NC and currently serves as the co-director of the Heart Failure Clinic, Director of the Cardiopulmonary Exercise Laboratory and President of the LeBauer Cardiovascular Research Foundation. He has academic appointments at Duke University Medical Center and University of North Carolina-Greensboro. He has authored or co-authored several book chapters and over 25 papers in peer-reviewed journals. He currently serves as a manuscript reviewer for several major scientific journals and an abstract reviewer for the American Heart Association and American College of Cardiology's Scientific Sessions. He is a member of the Heart Failure Society of America.
Dr. Bensimhon founded Moonlighting Solutions in April 2007after moonlighting his way through residency and fellowship and over six years of developing and managing the on-call coverage program for his current practice. He lives in Greensboro, North Carolina with his wife and four children (two sets of twins!).
