Our Background
In 2001, Dr. Dan Bensimhon began developing an innovative program to cover weekend call for a cardiology practice in North Carolina. The program was designed to increase the daytime productivity of the practice's partners, improve their quality of life and prolong their medical careers while still providing the highest quality-of-care to the practice's patients. When the practice was pressed to provide more outreach services in an ever-expanding market, the call coverage was extended to seven nights per week freeing up the practice's physicians to see more patients and develop new markets without hiring additional partners. The call program not only paid for itself but managed to generate a substantial profit within the first year by increasing partner productivity and job satisfaction.Based on this concept, Moonlighting Solutions was founded in April 2007 to offer these services to other practices and hospitals across the country in need of call coverage. Since its inception, Moonlighting Solutions has developed an extensive database of well-qualified physicians who are available to provide night and weekend call coverage.
Moonlighting Solutions is not a locums organization and uses only US-trained physicians to staff all of their moonlighting opportunities. Coverage is available for most primary care and subspecialty services.
Moonlighting Solutions, an MGMA affiliate, offers its clients the highest-quality malpractice coverage at discounted group rates. We also employ a well-rounded management team with years of experience in practice management, physician screening and credentialing, billing procedures and information technology.
